Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer and an MBA from USC in Los Angeles. The grandfather of “ghosting”, he’s largely credited with making significant contributions to the field of Augmented Reality (AR) with a process patent for immersive AR – affectionately referred to as US8963957. Brilliant networker, understands win-win, strong business development and a confident technology evangelist. All of this was obvious before the wheels left the ground. You see, back in 2012 someone from picpocketlabs sat next to Mark on a long-haul flight between Los Angeles and New York City and before long they realized they were both Rensselaer alumni who shared the same passion for technology and start-ups. Mark and picpocketlabs spent a few years crossing paths in the location-based/mobile technologies space before we finally decided to take a license to Mark’s “ghosting” IP – years later, after the success of Pokemon Go but before Apple announced their plans to design/launch AR glasses, picpocketlabs acquired Mark’s IP outright and brought Mark onboard. We are convinced that ghosting has unlimited potential and we look forward to weaving it into everyone’s in-real-life experiences using phones, tablets and AR glasses.
